Meals Made with Love, Served with a Smile

Dining That Brings Residents Together

At Huron County Medical Care Facility, we believe good food brings comfort, joy, and connection. That’s why our meals are not only dietitian-approved, but also thoughtfully prepared to match each resident’s tastes, needs, and dietary goals. Using fresh ingredients and plenty of homestyle flavor, we craft every bite to nourish both body and spirit.

Dining That Brings Comfort and Joy

At HCMCF, mealtime is more than just nourishment—it’s a chance to gather, laugh, and enjoy the day together. Residents can choose to dine in our bright, welcoming dining room with friends or opt for the comfort of in-room tray service. We also love celebrating special moments with festive meals for holidays, parties, and community outings to local restaurants that make dining feel extra joyful.

We know how meaningful shared meals can be, so we warmly invite family and friends to join their loved ones for a meal. Guest meal tickets are available for $5 each ($7.50 for holidays) and can be picked up at the Business Office. Guests are also welcome to bring their own lunch and enjoy a cozy mealtime visit—because every moment shared around the table matters.

Baking Up Sweet Memories

At HCMCF, dining is about more than just meals—it’s about creating experiences that feel like home. One of our favorite ways to spark joy and connection is through baking. Baking isn’t just a fun activity at Huron County Medical Care Facility—it’s a meaningful part of life enrichment that nurtures the soul.

For many residents, baking connects them to cherished memories, traditions, and a sense of purpose. Whether it’s rolling dough, decorating cookies, or sharing recipes from years past, these experiences spark joy, stimulate the senses, and encourage social connection.

In a skilled medical care setting, opportunities like baking help residents feel more at home, more engaged, and more themselves—reminding everyone that life’s sweetest moments are often the simplest ones.
